Persuasion : A Communications handbook

This book provides a simple guide to making the most of the major forms of persuasion available to an organisation. From developing a strong brand, engaging with the public through news releases, speeches and presentations, online interactions and negotiation strategies as well as with their own staff through internal communications, the book aims to provide a reference with practical ‘how to’ guides. To meet the demand for effective persuasion in the international arena, it also covers the importance of cultural issues – and how to avoid diplomatic blunders while communicating with people from other countries. Each Chapter is supported by a bibliography that suggests further reading for its audience.
The book is based on 17 years of experience in meeting communications training needs for a variety of organisations.

The authors are British and Cambodian enabling them to meld their experiences of widely different cultures and approaches to communications to produce a book that will be useful to the many Cambodians who need to persuade and influence their national and international audiences.
